New York City based artist Matthew Stock has been painting in the city for the past 10 years. His favorite medium is acrylic on board. Using a pop art style Matthew incorporates vivid colors and abstract shapes to enhance the beauty of the female form. His distinct style is immediately recognizable.

Key influences include Wassily Kandinsky, Roy Lichtenstein and Marc Chagall, as well comic book artists Jack Kirby and John Romita Sr. Matthew lived in the East Village and attended The Cooper Union in the late 1980s where he studied both engineering and art.
